Social media banner maker

Pick the network, add your photo and logo, choose a template, write your text: the banner comes out at the exact size for Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube or Instagram. The preview shows what the profile picture covers. Everything happens on your device.

Première fois ? Le déroulé, pas à pas

Your photo, your logo and your text stay on your device: the banner is drawn by your browser, nothing is sent to our server.

    2Your photo and logo

A photo, a picture or a video from your device: it dresses the “With your photo” templates. From a video, the tool keeps one frame, at the moment you choose. You can also drag it onto the page or paste it.

A PNG with a transparent background gives the best result.

The same banner is redrawn at the size of each ticked format, then the images are gathered in a ZIP file.

    Banner sizes, network by network

Each network asks for its own size, and crops or covers part of the picture. The tool applies these sizes: “Create” opens the format in the workshop.

    Good to know

Are my photo and logo sent anywhere?

No. The banner is drawn by your browser, on your device: nothing goes through our server. The photo and the logo are not kept: after reloading the page, you choose them again. Only the template, the colours and your text are remembered in this browser, for next time.

What size for a Facebook, LinkedIn, X or YouTube banner?

Facebook: 1640 × 720 px for a page cover. LinkedIn: 1584 × 396 px for a profile, 1512 × 256 px for a company page. X: 1500 × 500 px. YouTube: 2560 × 1440 px, of which only the central 1546 × 423 px area is visible everywhere. You do not need to remember these figures: pick the network, the tool does the rest. The table above lists every size.

Why is part of the preview hatched?

Each network crops or covers part of the banner: the profile picture sits in a corner, phones trim the sides, computers the top and bottom. The hatching shows these areas, and the dotted frame the one that always stays visible: the templates place your text and logo there by themselves. The hatching is not in the downloaded file. Networks sometimes move the profile picture: its position is an estimate.

PNG or JPG: which file should I choose?

Leave “Automatic”: a banner without a photo is saved as PNG, crisp on flat colours and text; a banner with a photo is saved as JPG, which is lighter. Every network accepts both. YouTube refuses banners over 6 MB and LinkedIn those over 8 MB (3 MB for a page): in “Automatic”, the files stay below these limits.

How do I put the banner in place?

Open your profile or page, tap the camera icon or the pencil on the current banner, then choose the downloaded file. On YouTube, go through YouTube Studio, “Customisation”. If the network offers to crop the picture, confirm without changing anything: it already has the right size.

Can I use my colours, my logo, my lettering?

Yes for colours: take a ready-made pair or enter your two colours, the main one and the accent. Yes for the logo: a PNG file with a transparent background gives the best result, and a white background can be slipped under it. For lettering, twelve styles are offered. To get the exact typeface of your brand guidelines, see the last question.

One banner for all my networks, is that possible?

Yes. “All my networks” redraws the same banner at the size of each ticked format: the template rearranges itself each time, from the very long strip of a LinkedIn page to the upright story. Check each image in the preview by changing format: a long text fits better on some formats than on others.

Which photos or videos can I use?

Your own, or photos you have the right to use: a picture found on the Internet is not free to use for all that. JPG, PNG and WebP files are read; from a video, the tool takes one frame at the moment you choose. An iPhone photo in HEIC format must be converted to JPG first.

Can we have templates in our company's or association's brand style?

The templates on offer take your colours and your logo. For templates in your brand style (typeface, shapes, mandatory mentions, shared layouts for a whole team), we can add them to the tool or install the tool on your website: contact us.
