Have a document signed
Upload a PDF, say who must sign it and where. Each person gets a link, signs with a finger or the mouse, and everyone receives the signed PDF with its proof certificate.
Everyone in the same room? Sign on this device, without sending anything
First time? How it goes
- You drop the PDF, name the signers and place on the pages the zones where each one signs.
- Each signer receives an e-mail with a personal link. They read the document and sign with a finger or the mouse.
- When everyone has signed, each person receives the signed PDF, with a certificate page that serves as proof.
- Signers have 30 days, with an automatic reminder after 3 and 7 days. From your tracking link, you see the progress, send a reminder or cancel.
Tips
- Signing too? Add yourself to the list of signers.
- Warn the signers: the e-mail comes from contact@ressources.online and may land in spam.
- One “Signature” zone per person at least; add “Name” and “Date” beside it if needed.
- Everyone in the same room? The “Sign on this device” link, above, avoids sending anything.
Good to know
Is an electronic signature legally valid?
Yes. Throughout the European Union, an electronic signature cannot be denied legal effect as evidence solely because it is electronic (eIDAS regulation, article 25). This tool produces a “simple” electronic signature, the one used for most quotes, purchase orders, service contracts, agreements and memberships. In case of dispute, the proof certificate is what counts: who signed, when, from which address, with which verified e-mail address.
Can you read my documents?
No. The PDF, the signatures and the signed document are encrypted in your browser (AES-256) before sending. The key sits at the end of the links, after the “#” sign: that part of an address is never sent to the server. We only keep unreadable files, the document fingerprint and the proof log. So that our e-mails can contain complete links, your browser lends us the key while the message is written, without us storing it; if you tick “I will share the links myself”, it never reaches us.
What do the links you send contain?
Two elements. After “?t=”, an access token: a unique code that cannot be guessed, which identifies your request and tells our server which file to open. After “#”, the encryption key: it decrypts the document in the browser of the person who opens the link, and this part of an address is never sent to the server. The full link therefore opens the document: everyone gets their own, not to be forwarded. The e-mails and the tool's pages remind you of this with a colour diagram.
Which documents should not be signed this way?
Deeds that require a notary or a “qualified” signature: property sales, wills, some family-law deeds, or when the other party (bank, authority, public tender) expressly asks for a qualified signature. For a lease or an employment contract, a simple signature is accepted, but an advanced signature protects better if challenged.
What does the proof certificate contain?
A page added at the end of the signed PDF: the digital fingerprint of the original document, the identity of the sender and of each signer, the exact date and time of each step (sending, opening, signature), the IP address and browser used, and a QR code to the verification page. The full audit trail is also attached to the PDF as a file.
How is the identity of signers checked?
Everyone receives their personal link at their e-mail address: opening it shows they have access to that mailbox, and the log records the date, time, IP address and browser of each step. If you share the links yourself (advanced options), your own sending is the proof, and the certificate says so. To prevent abuse, requests are limited to 3 per day and the message to signers cannot contain a link.
How long are my documents kept?
Signers have 30 days to sign, with an automatic reminder after 3 and 7 days. The original PDF, the signatures and the signed PDF are deleted from our servers 30 days after the last signature: everyone receives an e-mail with a link to download the signed PDF: save it. Once the request is closed, the sender can also delete them right away from the tracking page, with the “Delete from the server now” button. Only the proof log (fingerprints, dates, addresses), without the document, is kept for 5 years to be able to attest a signature in case of dispute.
How can I check later that a signed PDF has not been altered?
Drop it on the verification page: its fingerprint is computed in your browser and compared with the one we recorded. If a single character has changed, the fingerprint no longer matches.
