Stop cold calls

Since 11 August 2026, a company may no longer cold-call you in France without your consent. Identify the number calling you, get yours removed from their files, and set up your phone for some peace.

Première fois ? Le déroulé, pas à pas

What is this number?

Type the number that called you. Nothing is sent: the analysis runs in your browser.

Good to know

What changed on 11 August 2026?

Before, you had to register on the Bloctel list to refuse cold calls. Now it is the other way round: the call is forbidden as long as you have not given that company your consent. Registering on Bloctel is no longer needed. Two exceptions: a call about a contract you currently have with the company, and the sale of newspapers or magazines.

Why am I still being called?

Either you gave consent without noticing (a box in a form, a prize draw, a comparison site), or the company is breaking the law, or it is a scam: fraudsters call from mobiles or spoofed numbers and ignore every rule. In all three cases, reporting the call is still useful.

Can all telemarketers be blocked at once?

Law-abiding telemarketers must call from twelve reserved number ranges. Some Android phones can block “numbers starting with…”; on iPhone you need a blocking app or your operator's filter. The list of ranges is in the “Protect myself” tab.

What happens to what I type?

Nothing leaves your device: neither the number analysed nor the letter. Only the ticked boxes of the list are kept, in this browser, so you can find your progress again.
