iPhone and iPad photos (HEIC) turned into JPG, the format everyone can open: Windows, older software, websites and forms. Many at once, and your photos never leave your device.

Good to know
What is a HEIC photo?
It is the format of photos taken by iPhones and iPads since 2017. At equal quality, a HEIC photo is about half the size of a JPG. But Windows (without a paid extension), many programs, websites and online forms cannot open it: JPG opens everywhere.
Are my photos sent anywhere?
No. The conversion is done by your browser, on your device, with the open-source libheif engine. No photo goes through our server or any other: you can even disconnect from the Internet once the page is open and the first photos are converted.
Is the date taken kept?
Yes, by default: the date and time taken, the camera model and the settings (aperture, speed, ISO) are copied into the JPG. Your photos therefore stay in the right order in a photo library. The GPS location is removed, unless you tick “Keep the GPS location” in the settings.
Why is the JPG bigger than the HEIC?
HEIC compresses better: at equal quality, a JPG is one and a half to two times bigger. That is normal. For an e-mail or a form limited to 1 MB, then run your JPGs through the Compress photos tool.
How can I stop getting HEIC photos?
On the iPhone: Settings › Camera › Formats › “Most Compatible”. Future photos will be JPG (and a little bigger).
To copy to a PC by cable: Settings › Photos › Transfer to Mac or PC › “Automatic”. The iPhone then converts to JPG itself.
What about Live Photos?
Only the photo is converted. The moving part of a Live Photo is a small separate video file (.MOV), which this tool does not handle.
