Is this link a scam?

A text about a parcel on hold, a fine to pay, a refund to claim? Paste the link or the whole message: the tool looks for signs of a scam, without you having to click.

Première fois ? Le déroulé, pas à pas

Good to know

How do I spot a fake text or e-mail?
  • Urgency: “final reminder”, “within 24 hours”, “your account will be suspended”.
  • A small amount to pay (€1.99 postage, a €35 fine): the goal is to get your bank card.
  • A link to open: health insurance, the tax office, the post office or your bank never ask for your card by text.
  • An unknown sender, a mobile number, spelling mistakes, a “Hello” without your name.
How do I read a web address?

What matters is the name just before the first slash “/”, with its extension. In https://www.ameli.fr.securite-compte.com/connexion, the real site is securite-compte.com, not ameli.fr.

The tool highlights that real name in the result.

Why does the tool never say “this site is safe”?

It spots known scam signs, but a brand-new trap site or a real site that has been hacked can go unnoticed. When in doubt, don't follow the link: type the official address yourself, or call the organisation on a number you know.

What happens to the link I paste?

It is sent to our server, which examines it and, if the box is ticked, opens the page for you: your device and IP address never come into contact with the site. A scam link sometimes contains a code that identifies you; untick the box if you don't want it opened. The result is kept for 10 minutes, then deleted.
