Gantt chart

Lay out your tasks on a calendar with months, week numbers and days. Draw a bar with the mouse, stretch it, link it to the next one: the schedule updates itself. Everything stays in your browser.

Première fois ? Le déroulé, pas à pas

Open a PDF or a .json file downloaded here, or import an Excel table (.xlsx, .csv). You can also drop the file on this page.

Your schedule is created and edited on your device: it is neither sent to us nor stored by us. It is kept in this browser so you can resume later; you can erase it at any time.

Good to know

Is my schedule sent anywhere?

No. The schedule is created, calculated and drawn by your browser, on your device. Nothing goes through our server: you can go offline once the page is open. It is kept in this browser's storage so you can resume; the “Erase from this device” link removes it.

How do I create a task?

In two ways. In the table, type a name in the last row and press Enter: the task is placed after the previous one, and you can keep adding. Or in the calendar, drag the mouse in the empty area below the tasks: the bar you draw becomes a task. Then drag the bar to move it and pull its edges to change its dates.

Which rule do the week numbers follow?

ISO 8601, the standard used by diaries in France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK: the week starts on Monday, and week 1 is the one containing the first Thursday of the year (so 4 January). A year has 52 or 53 weeks. The numbers appear at the top of the calendar, in each task's panel and in the exports.

How do I link two tasks?

Hover over a bar: a dot appears at its right end. Drag it to the task that must follow. An arrow joins the two, and the second can no longer start before the first ends: if the first is delayed, the following ones move. Click an arrow and press Delete to remove the link. Automatic shifting can be turned off in the options.

Are weekends and public holidays counted?

By default, Saturdays and Sundays are not worked: a 5-day task starting on a Thursday ends the following Wednesday, and a task never starts at a weekend. Untick “Do not count weekends” in the options to count calendar days. Public holidays are not taken into account for now.

What are phases and milestones for?

A phase groups tasks: indent a task (button in the panel or Alt + →) and the one above becomes its phase. Its dates and progress are calculated from its tasks, and it folds with one click. A milestone is a key date with no duration (delivery, approval, acceptance), shown as a diamond.

Can I resume or share my schedule?

Yes. The downloaded PDF contains the schedule: it opens normally everywhere, and if you reopen it here, everything becomes editable again. You can also save a laid-out Excel workbook (the task table and the schedule drawn in colour, ready to print), a PNG image for a presentation, or the schedule file (.json).

How do I import a schedule from Excel?

Open an .xlsx workbook or a .csv file: the first sheet is read, and the columns are recognised by their headings. You need a Task (or Name) column and a Start column, then End or Duration; optionally Progress, Owner, Level (0, 1, 2… to put tasks into phases), Milestone and Starts after (the numbers of the preceding tasks). French and German headings are accepted too (Tâche, Début, Fin, Aufgabe, Beginn, Ende…). The easiest way: download a schedule as Excel from the tool, fill in the table, then open it here again.
