Postcard
Pick a photo, lay a template over it, write a few words: your postcard is ready to go by e-mail, WhatsApp or any other app, as a picture or an animated video. Everything happens on your device.
Drag the picture to frame it.
Your photo and your message stay on your device: the card is drawn by your browser, nothing is sent to our server.
1The photo or video
2The template
3The text
4The back of the card
5The animated card
The card becomes a short video to send: the photo moves in slowly, the text writes itself, and the card turns over to show your message if it has a back.
With a video, the front side lasts as long as the video, 20 seconds at most.
- Your photo, at its bestEleven templates sit over your photo: classic frame, polaroid, stamp and postmark, retro card, party, winter… You frame it, and change the colour and the lettering.
- Sent in two taps“Send the card” opens your device's share sheet: WhatsApp, e-mail, messages. Otherwise the card is downloaded or copied, ready to attach.
- Ready to printThe PDF has the size of a real postcard (A6), front and back, to print on thick paper and post.
- Nothing leaves your deviceThe photo is not sent to our server. Only your settings and texts are remembered in this browser.
Good to know
Is my photo sent anywhere?
No. The photo is read and the card is drawn by your browser, on your device: nothing goes through our server. The photo is not kept: after reloading the page, you choose it again. Only the template, the colours and your texts are remembered in this browser, for your next card.
How is the card sent?
From your device, with the app of your choice. On a phone and on most recent computers, “Send the card” opens the share window: pick WhatsApp, your mail app, messages or another service, and the card is already attached. If your browser cannot share a file, the card is downloaded and the app opens: you just attach the image. “Copy the image” also lets you paste it straight into a message. The site sends nothing itself and does not know your recipients.
Can I print the card and post it?
Yes. “PDF to print” gives a file in A6 format (10.5 × 14.8 cm), the size of a postcard: the front, and the back if you added one. Print it without scaling on thick paper (250 g or more), double-sided, or hand it to a printer. The square format measures 12 × 12 cm. All that is left is the stamp.
Which photos can I use?
Any image your browser can display: JPG, PNG, WebP. You can choose it from your files, take it with the phone camera, drop it on the preview or paste it. An iPhone HEIC photo opens in Safari; elsewhere, convert it to JPG first. A photo at least 1,800 pixels wide gives a sharp card, on screen and in print.
Can we have a template in the colours of our company or association?
The templates offered take the colour you choose. For a template in your image (logo, brand guidelines, slogan, greeting cards for the company or an event), we can add it to the tool or install the tool on your website: contact us.
Can the card be sent as a video?
Yes. In step 5, “Make the video” turns the card into a short video: the photo moves in slowly, the text writes itself, snow falls or confetti moves depending on the template, then the card turns over to show your message if you added a back. A short video from your phone can also replace the photo, with its sound. Background music can be added: four tunes played by your browser, or a track from your device. The video is recorded by your browser, in real time: allow the length of the card, during which the page must stay on screen. Recent Chrome, Edge and Safari give an MP4 file that plays everywhere; Firefox gives a WebM file, which WhatsApp and the iPhone handle poorly.
